A folded magic tee (FMT) of WR650 waveguide is designed and manufactured. The simulated and measured S parameters of the FMT are compared. These two FMT are tested in an L-band 1.3 GHz resonant ring driven by 800 kW klystron at the repetition rate of 5 Hz where maximum 5 MW transmission is possible. The FMT is pressurized to 0.2 MPa by nitrogen gas. The test is conducted using various pulse widths, namely 50 micro-seconds, 200 micro-seconds, 500 micro-seconds, 1.00 ms, and 1.65 ms. For each pulse width, the power is incrementally increased and maintained within the resonant ring for one hour. The FMT is the component of the 5 MW variable power divider (VPD). The unique feature of this VPD is it can address the phase shifted while adjusting the coupling ratio. The fixed phase shifter (FPS) and U bend with actuator are two other components of VPD. Assembling two FMT, four FPS, and two U bend completes the VPD. This VPD is useful for high-power RF distribution in the ILC.
